Chasing Wholeheartedness…
People are two types:
Those who can talk about themselves for hours.
Those who even struggle to explain what they do for a living.
Needless to say, I am the second type. But I will try my best here for you guys!
My name is Morvarid Zandichi. I was born in Iran and lived there for thirty-something years before I moved to Canada. I have studied English Lit and have been an enthusiastic bookworm for as long as I can remember. My mom told me stories about how I have started reading books since I was three years old; well! not reading reading, but since I knew every word and I knew where to flip the page it looked like I knew how to read.
My work life involves being a fact-chasing, detail-oriented, and driven employee by day, while at night, I'm more of a dreamer. It's interesting when these two sides occasionally overlap. I'm not one to stir the pot, and I would gladly run from drama of any kind.
I love to read, write, watch and observe, travel occasionally - hate camping, though [gasp] - and I sometimes paint. I am a hopeless romantic, who met and married my husband in college. We now live in Vancouver with our lovely cats.
I have a weekly newsletter on Substack, where I share insights on topics I find interesting every Monday. On Thursdays, I publish a small piece - either a reflection or a short story. You can subscribe using the button at the bottom of this page.
I think that’s enough for now.
